FLOWER POWER
As Pamela began to tackle her FLOWER POWER series, she knew she wanted to create a contemporary body of work, abstract, voluptuous, alive with color and imagination. She began looking at flowers differently. It wasn’t going to be about arranging them in vases for a still life. Instead, she wanted to experiment, creating and testing formulations for the flowers to drink, altering their colors, and causing some to glow in the dark. Pamela’s quest to explore light, color and dimension comes through as she fashions compositions with these altered blooms, some of them lush and abstract, others bold and dramatic. “FLOWER POWER has become my mad scientist series where I am constantly inspired by the notion of “What if...”
